Jeremy Strong Embraces the (Muted) Rainbow at Cannes

Perhaps nobody is having more fun with their fashion at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival than Jeremy Strong. A member of the jury, the actor has come to the South of France more than prepared for his never-ending itinerary of events.

Today, Strong and his fellow jurors joined the mayor of Cannes for the annual Aioli Lunch. For the occasion, Strong opted for head-to-toe purple, donning a lavender satin bomber jacket and tailored grape trousers—even accessorizing with a pair of purple-lensed Jacques Marie Mage sunglasses.

Strong’s style, in a word, is monochromatic. “I’m very intuitive, you know? I’ve gone through phases where, like, there was a time where I only wore gray for a couple years,” he said on an episode of The Run-Through With Vogue. “I had a period as a child where I wore neon only.” Now, neon is very much in the rearview. Cannes has given Strong the opportunity to traverse the rainbow, albeit in muted tones. Wearing mostly Loro Piana and Lanvin—with his complementary sunglasses—the actor has taken a spin along the color wheel in clay, peach, sage, and brown.

In the past, Strong has been known to stick to a Frog and Toad-esque color scheme, preferring full brown and green looks. But at the 2025 Golden Globes, he freed himself from earth tones in a turquoise velvet Loro Piana suit and a matching bucket hat. Now, at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, Jeremy Strong is embracing the entire color wheel.
