Fresh off winning his first MVP award and building up a 2-0 series lead over the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Conference Final, the Canadian superstar earned his third consecutive All-NBA First Team nod.
With the third win, the Hamilton native tied Steve Nash for the most first-team nods for Canadian players.
Joining Gilgeous-Alexander on the first team is a regular list of the biggest superstars in the NBA. Fellow MVP finalists Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo were locks, while Jayson Tatum and Donovan Mitchell round out the five-some.
Making their debuts on the All-NBA lists were Evan Mobley — who won his first defensive player of the year award — on the second team, Cade Cunningham on the third team and Jalen Williams on the third team.
Despite a new generation of hoopers being phased in, the old guard isn’t going quiet into that goodnight. LeBron James earned his 21st All-NBA selection, grabbing a spot on the second team, and Stephen Curry got his 11th selection with a spot on the second team as well.
