House Arrest for Woman Accused of Murder-For-Hire Plot Against Former Anchor Husband

Angelia Solomon will get out on bond, but will wear an ankle monitor and be under house arrest until she goes to trial.

Solomon was arrested in April for the alleged plot to kill her ex-husband, Aaron, a former anchor at Nashville, Tennessee NBC affiliate WSMV. Her case is going to a grand jury.

An arrest affidavit gives new details into the alleged plot:

The report states that she met with an undercover law enforcement officer acting as a hitman on the afternoon of April 11. The two met in the parking lot of Cool Springs Mall, the arrest report states.

Solomon said she wanted to hire the man for the purpose of murdering her ex-husband. She promised future payment and gave her vehicle registration as a form of initial collateral, the arrest affidavit states.

Solomon stated that her ex-husband’s death would provide her daughter access to a trust fund. She provided the undercover officer with information on how he could locate Aaron Solomon which included the places he may work and the area where he lives.

She was arrested shortly after the meeting.

The Franklin Police Department said the investigation into Angelia Solomon began after a concerned citizen came forward and said they believed that she may be attempting to hire someone to kill her ex-husband.
