IPG Mediabrands, the media arm of Interpublic Group (IPG), has laid off between 35 and 40 employees across its analytics division this week, according to sources with direct knowledge of the matter.
The cuts—delivered without written communication—targeted analysts as the media network moves analytics roles offshore to its Global Capability Center in India.
In a statement to ADWEEK, an IPG Mediabrands spokesperson confirmed the cuts: “Regrettably, we informed a portion of our team about necessary separations. These actions are part of IPG Mediabrands’ ongoing transformation to streamline operations and align with evolving organizational needs. We are committed to supporting the transition of those impacted by providing resources, severance payments and continuation of benefits, per IPG policy.”
