Charlie Slaight has been named station manager at WFTX, the Scripps-owned Fox affiliate in Fort Myers, Florida.
Scripps said he’ll help with day-to-day operations and lead sales.
He’s been the senior director of sales at WFTX since May 2022 and will keep working in that position in addition to his new station manager responsibilities.
Before joining Scripps, Slaight worked in sales management with Nexstar, Meredith, Tribune and Sinclair. He spent his early career in cable management.
