Tony Awards Nominations 2025: The Complete List

The Tony Awards nominations were announced on Thursday morning, with three musicals — “Buena Vista Social Club,” “Death Becomes Her” and “Maybe Happy Ending” — earning the most nominations with 10 each. “Dead Outlaw,” “John Proctor Is the Villain,” “Sunset Boulevard” and “The Hills of California” followed closed behind, with seven each.

It’s been a starry Broadway season, and some of those buzzy names paid off: Acting nominations went to George Clooney for the play “Good Night, and Good Luck”; Sarah Snook for “The Picture of Dorian Gray”; Cole Escola for “Oh, Mary!”; and Bob Odenkirk for “Glengarry Glen Ross.”

The 78th Tony Awards, presented by the Broadway League and the American Theater Wing, are planned for June 8 at Radio City Music Hall. The ceremony’s host will be Cynthia Erivo, a 2016 Tony winner for her role as Celie in “The Color Purple,” who is fresh off a whirlwind year of “Wicked” press tours and an Oscar nomination.
